About Christ
The background on the left is about Jeff Richards, but much more important is information about Jesus Christ. Knowing Christ, not just knowing about Christ, is the most important choice you can make in life. The Bible tells us that we are all sinners Romans 3:10 and 3:23. It goes on to explain that the wages or payment for that sin is eternal death, hell, separation from a holy and loving God. Romans 6:23 goes on to say that God has a plan that would allow us to avoid hell and live eternally with Him. That plan comes in the form of a gift offered through Jesus Christ. It is a free gift. We cannot earn it. John 1:12 tells us that we obtain that gift through believing and receiving. We must believe that Jesus is the Son of God, our sinless sacrifice for sin. We must receive the gift of salvation by a conscious choice to receive Him. Salvation does not come by default. People are not saved by accident. One must choose to receive Christ. Acts 3:19 makes clear that the choice to receive involves the willingness to repent. To repent means we acknowledge our sin before God. We recognize our inability to save ourselves, but choose to trust in Christ to do that for us. Revelation 3:10 says if we will open the door of our lives/hearts to Christ, He WILL enter, save us, and have a personal relationship with us. If you have never made the choice to do this, now is the time.
You can receive Christ by a heartfelt prayer asking for His forgiveness and salvation. I have worded a prayer for you. However, realize salvation is not in a prayer or a magical combination of words. Salvation is in the person of Christ. By telling Him of your trust and submission, He WILL save you. "Dear Lord. I believe that you are who you say you are in the Bible. I believe that you are the Son of God who came to earth to save the lost. I know that I am a sinner. I am sorry for my sin and I ask you to take my sin away. Please save me, make me your child, cleanse my heart and strengthen me to serve you. Thank you that I can trust what you say. And today, by faith, I claim to be born again and a child of the King. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
If you have received Christ as your Savior, please contact me and let me know. It would be a great encouragement to me. I would love to share encouragement with you as you grow in your faith and Christian walk.
